Harness the Power of the Sun

Solar is one of the smartest long-term investments you can make in your home. It lowers monthly utility costs, protects you from rising energy rates, and increases property value.

Beyond financial benefits, solar reduces your reliance on fossil fuels and lowers your home’s environmental impact year after year.

At Sun Elevated, we approach solar differently. We understand both the electrical system and the roofing system it sits on. That means your installation is designed not only for maximum production, but for long-term roof integrity and weather protection.

From system design and permitting, to installation and final inspection, our team delivers clean, professional installs built for durability and long-term peace of mind.

Need More Power? Let’s Upgrade Your Solar System

Thinking about adding more solar panels to your existing system? You’re not alone. Maybe you added a hot tub, bought an EV, installed a pool, or moved into a home where the existing system doesn’t fully cover your usage. Sometimes systems just weren’t sized right from the start — and that leftover electric bill is proof.

Expanding your solar system doesn’t have to be complicated. With the right experts, it’s a smooth process.

At Sun Elevated, we’ll help you review your current setup, confirm what’s needed, and guide you on the best next steps.

Is Your Solar System Actually Performing?

Before adding more panels, let’s make sure your current system is working properly. Many homeowners think they need an expansion — but often, the real issue is underperformance.

We’ll review your monitoring app, check system output, and make sure everything is running as it should. No monitoring set up? We can handle that too.

Utility companies like Rocky Mountain Power may adjust your net metering rates if you go above a 10kW system, so it’s important to work with a company who understands the guidelines and looks out for your best interests.  Our team has worked with almost every utility company and city in Utah and will always go through the details around every possible decision.

Can you add more panels? Let’s check with your utility

Before expanding your system, it’s important to know your utility company’s rules. Some cities limit system sizes (often around 10kW), and going over that could impact approvals or change your net metering rates.

That’s where we come in. Sun Elevated reviews your current system size, utility guidelines, and billing structure to make sure any upgrade works in your favor. Whether it’s grid-tied, off-grid, or a custom solution, we’ll guide you through every detail so you can expand with confidence.

01

How do we work with your existing system?

Your inverter plays a key role when adding more panels. If you have a string inverter like SolarEdge, it may need to be upgraded to handle the extra power your expanded system will produce.

At Sun Elevated, we evaluate your current setup and ensure your inverter is properly sized for increased production — guiding you through the process so your upgrade runs smoothly and efficiently.

02

Should you just upgrade your panels?

Some homeowners consider replacing their current panels with higher-producing equipment instead of adding more. In most cases, though, removing panels is less cost-effective than simply installing additional ones.

The main exception? Limited roof space. If you’re out of room, upgrading may make sense. Otherwise, adding to your existing system usually delivers the best return on investment.

Warranty & Maintenance

We have been in business for over seven years, and we are building for decades ahead. That stability matters when it comes to warranties. We stand behind our workmanship because we plan to be here to support it.

Our solar installations include full manufacturer warranties and workmanship coverage. Solar panels carry 25-year performance warranties, and inverters or micro-inverters typically include 10-25-year manufacturer warranties, depending on the system.

Beyond installation, our team provides ongoing solar maintenance and system support. From routine inspections to long-term care plans, we help protect performance and extend the life of your system well beyond the day it’s installed.
